Irenaeus (130-202) was a bishop from Smyrna, one of the churches that John wrote the book of Revelation to. He gave us the answer to the meaning of 666 (Rev 13:18) as Lateinos in his book Against Heresies, where he made the last testimony of speaking in tongues. He explained the Spirit of Christ as the Word.
