11 The name of the star is called “Wormwood.” One third of the waters became wormwood. Many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter.

of the rivers and springs of waters – rivers and springs of water throughout Revelation, and the Gospel of John refer to the holy spirit. In John 7:38, we read “He who believes in Me, as the scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.”” The meaning of rivers as the holy spirit is also found in Rev 16:4, and Rev 22:1. In John 4:14, Jesus also referred to the holy spirit when He said “the water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water springing up to eternal life.” The meaning of springs as holy spirit can also be found in Rev 14:7, Rev 16:4, and Rev 21:6.
its name is Wormwood – everyone will want to receive the holy spirit, like those who are in the true Church. But those who do not obey of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will not be drinking the holy spirit, but a bitter spirit, called Wormwood. In the Apostolic time, the Apostle John recognized different spirits that may be from God, see 1 John 4:1. The Apostle Paul said “if receive a different spirit…you may well put up with it!” (2 Cor 11:4). The spirit that the lawless drink will be a bitter spirit.
