| THE KINGDOM OF THE BEAST DIES |

| 10 The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from the sky, burning like a torch, and it fell on one third of the rivers, and on the springs of the waters. 11 The name of the star is called “Wormwood.” One third of the waters became wormwood. Many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter. |
| Rev 8:10 the third trumpet, a great star – stars are spirits, manifest as angels. Angels are called stars throughout the Bible, eg. Rev 9:1, Rev 1:16, Rev 1:20, Isa 14:12, Dan 8:10 etc. We can see this in the fifth trumpet, in Rev 9:1, which cites another star (Angel) that fell from heaven. fell from heaven – from Rev 9:1, Isa 14:12, and Rev 12:4, we know that stars that fall to the ground are the workers of Satan. Rev 8:11 it fell on a third – the meaning of “a third” is described at verse 7. of the rivers and springs of waters – rivers and springs of water throughout Revelation, and the Gospel of John refer to the holy spirit. In John 7:38, we read “He who believes in Me, as the scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.”” The meaning of rivers as the holy spirit is also found in Rev 16:4, and Rev 22:1. In John 4:14, Jesus also referred to the holy spirit when He said “the water that I will give him will become in him a spring of water springing up to eternal life.” The meaning of springs as holy spirit can also be found in Rev 14:7, Rev 16:4, and Rev 21:6. its name is Wormwood – everyone will want to receive the holy spirit, like those who are in the true Church. But those who do not obey of the Gospel of Jesus Christ will not be drinking the holy spirit, but a bitter spirit, called Wormwood. In the Apostolic time, the Apostle John recognized different spirits that may be from God, see 1 John 4:1. The Apostle Paul said “if receive a different spirit…you may well put up with it!” (2 Cor 11:4). The spirit that the lawless drink will be a bitter spirit. |
| 12 The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars; so that one third of them would be darkened, and the day wouldn’t shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way. |
| Rev 8:12 the fourth trumpet, a third of the sun, a third of the moon and a third of the stars darkened – a third of the angels were cast down in Rev 12:4. Here we see that “a third” of the sun, moon and stars are darkened. The Sun, Moon and Stars represent the kingdom of heaven in Rev 12:1. This final “darkening” of the kingdom of the beast, described in Rev 16:10, implies that the kingdom of the beast has no more part at all, in the kingdom of heaven. The tares are no longer among the wheat, as Jesus described in Matt 13:40; they were burned by fire, as described in Rev 16:8. They have no more part in the kingdom of heaven, which has been fully cleansed of all lawlessness, and all things that offend (Matt 13:41). |

| Rev 8:13 an eagle flying in heaven – eagles represent the end time saints, see explanation at Rev 4:7. woe, woe, woe – the three great woes are the fifth, sixth and seventh trumpets. The fifth woe is the power to torment those who do not repent, for 150 years; the sixth woe is the Great Battle of Armageddon; and the seventh woe is the judgment of mankind. |
