Ezek 39:1-29

THE GREAT SUPPER OF GOD
The spiritual purpose of “the great army” of Israel (Ezek 37:10) is to cleanse the land in Ezek 39, which is figuratively the kingdom of heaven. In Ezek 39:17-20, we see the great supper of God, described in Rev 19:18, the cleansing of the kingdom of heaven. Gog who is buried in Ezek 39:11 represents “the King of the North,” the beast, in Rev 19:20, and Dan 11:36-39.

The accounts of Ezek 38 and 39 are in reverse order to Rev 19 and 20, and in reverse order of time, because Ezek 39 to 48 are devoted to the spiritual Israel, the end time sanctified Church. The nation of Israel was the main subject of Ezek 34 to 38.

The victory of the end time sanctified Church is the “great supper” of God, which is where we begin.
1 You, son of man, prophesy against Gog, and say, Thus says Adonai Yihvah: Behold, I am against you, Gog, prince of Rosh, Meshech, and Tubal:
Ezek 39:1
I am against you Gog, Prince of Rosh, Meschech and Tubal – this is the spiritual battle, that precedes the actual physical battle described in Ezek 38. Tiras and Javan, the sons of Japheth, who are excluded in Ezek 39:1, could theoretically represent the European states who were least affected by Latin Christianity. Tubal was the father of the Latin states, and Meschech was the father of modern day Turkey.
4 You shall fall on the mountains of Israel, you, and all your hordes, and the peoples who are with you: I will give you to the ravenous birds of every sort, and to the animals of the field to be devoured.
Ezek 39:4
I will give you to the birds of the air – as described further in verse 17, and in Rev 19:17, these are the eagles, which are the last day saints.
11 It shall happen in that day, that I will give to Gog a place for burial in Israel, the valley of those who pass through on the east of the sea; and it shall stop those who pass through: and there shall they bury Gog and all his multitude; and they shall call it The valley of Hamon-gog.
Ezek 39:11
I will give Gog a burial place there in Israel – the death of the beast described in Rev 19:20.
16 Hamonah shall also be the name of a city. Thus shall they cleanse the land.
Ezek 39:16
they shall cleanse the land – figuratively the kingdom of heaven.
17 You, son of man, thus says Adonai Yihvah: Speak to the birds of every sort, and to every animal of the field, Assemble yourselves, and come; gather yourselves on every side to my sacrifice that I do sacrifice for you, even a great sacrifice on the mountains of Israel, that you may eat flesh and drink blood.
Ezek 39:17
Speak to every sort of bird – See Rev 19:17, the eagles are the end time saints.
18 You shall eat the flesh of the mighty, and drink the blood of the princes of the earth, of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bulls, all of them fatlings of Bashan.
Ezek 39:18
of rams, of lambs, and of goats, of bullocks – the Targum Jarchi, and Kimchi, interprets this as kings, princes, dukes, rulers, and governors; as we read in Rev 19:18.
25 Therefore thus says Adonai Yihvah: Now will I bring back the captivity of Jacob, and have mercy on the whole house of Israel; and I will be jealous for my holy name. 26 They shall bear their shame, and all their trespasses whereby they have trespassed against me, when they shall dwell securely in their land, and none shall make them afraid; 27 when I have brought them back from the peoples, and gathered them out of their enemies’ lands, and am sanctified in them in the sight of many nations. 28 They shall know that I am Yihvah their God, in that I caused them to go into captivity among the nations, and have gathered them to their own land; and I will leave none of them any more there;
Ezek 39:25-28
I will bring back the captives of Jacob – those who were taken captive by the Beast in “mystery Babylon.”
29 neither will I hide my face any more from them; for I have poured out my spirit on the house of Israel, says Adonai Yihvah.
Ezek 39:29
I shall have poured out My spirit – as described in Ezek 37:14, the spirit of God makes a “great Army,” a Sanctified Church to restore the truth and capture the beast.
