Ezek 48:1-35

NEW JERUSALEM
The measurements of the New Jerusalem in Rev 21:16, are much, much larger.

We could say that Ezekiel here is describing the New Jerusalem “on earth,” with measurements that are much similar to the real “Jerusalem.” Here, we see land allotted for each of the tribes. Of course, it will not only be the blood Israelites who enter New Jerusalem. The 144,000 mentioned in Rev 7 and 11 are not simply Israelites.

In the Book of Revelation, John describes New Jerusalem in the New Heaven and New Earth.

The meaning of “the LORD is there,” in Ezek 48:35, is simply that the spirit of God is there. This is the Sanctified Church of the end days, which we read about from Ezekiel Chapters 39 to 47.

The New Jerusalem presented in Ezekiel also has twelve gates, one for each tribe of Israel.

The listing of the tribes here is slightly different than the listing in Rev 7:5-8: Dan is excluded and replaced by Manasseh in Revelation.  Dan is in all the primary Old Testament listings. Many speculate that Dan was excluded from the redeemed in the New Heaven because Dan’s tribe set up an image and worshiped it, after entering the promised land, see Judg 18:31. This signifies that Dan’s tribe will be a part of the restoration of Israel, but those who worship the image of the beast will not be redeemed.
