Rev 19:10

10 I fell down before his feet to worship him. He said to me, “Look! Don’t do it! I am a fellow bondservant with you and with your brothers who hold the testimony of Jesus. Worship God, for the testimony of Jesus is the Spirit of Prophecy.”

then I fell at His feet to worship Him – the Spirit of Christ spoke from the throne, in verse 5. Christ is “the image of the invisible God,” and His speaker, the Word.

In Rev 22:8, John also fell at the feet of the Angel.

I am of your brethren – Christ tells John that He is his brother (Rom 8:29).

worship God – John is after the Lord’s Day, when we will only worship God. Christ will no longer be our Lord, for He will submit Himself to God, “that God may be all in all” (1 Cor 15:28).

who hold the testimony of Jesus – Christ was the firstborn of those “who keep the commandments of God and have the testimony of Jesus.”

the spirit of prophecy – the expression “spirit of prophecy” describes “the spirit of God” first received by Christ and then poured out on the Day of Pentecost. The testimony of Jesus is the holy spirit, as we read in John 15:26: “He will testify about Me.” In Rev 12:17, the saints overcame with “the word of their testimony.” But now, the spirit of God testifies to who the saints are. The expression “spirit of prophecy” was used to describe the spirit of God on Christ in the Targum. Of course, the holy spirit, is the sanctifying spirit of the Body of Christ in the last days, the Sanctified Church.
