7 He who overcomes, I will give him these things. I will be his God, and he will be my son.
he who overcomes – just as Christ overcame, see Rev 3:21, we will also become a Son of God. Christ, the Male Child, was the firstborn from the dead.
I will be His God – there is only one God, the Father (1 Cor 8:6; Eph 4:6).
he will be My Son – like Christ who became the first Son, when He resurrected (Acts 13:33).
