Rev 8:12

12 The fourth angel sounded, and one third of the sun was struck, and one third of the moon, and one third of the stars; so that one third of them would be darkened, and the day wouldn’t shine for one third of it, and the night in the same way.

the fourth trumpet, a third of the sun, a third of the moon and a third of the stars darkened – a third of the angels were cast down in Rev 12:4. Here we see that “a third” of the sun, moon and stars are darkened. The Sun, Moon and Stars represent the kingdom of heaven in Rev 12:1. This final “darkening” of the kingdom of the beast, described in Rev 16:10, implies that the kingdom of the beast has no more part at all, in the kingdom of heaven. The tares are no longer among the wheat, as Jesus described in Matt 13:40; they were burned by fire, as described in Rev 16:8. They have no more part in the kingdom of heaven, which has been fully cleansed of all lawlessness, and all things that offend (Matt 13:41).
